1. Who we are

Panavor is a non-commercial oral history archive dedicated to preserving Western Armenian voices, stories, and cultural memory. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit the site and how we handle it.

2. What we collect

We keep data collection to a minimum:

  • Server logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel Inc.) automatically records technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit. These logs are used only to operate the site securely and are retained for a limited time by the hosting provider.
  • Contact messages. If you write to us by email, we receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use them only to reply to you.

We do not require accounts, do not run advertising, do not sell or share personal data with third parties for marketing, and do not knowingly collect data from children.

3. Embedded content

Some pages offer videos hosted on YouTube. Panavor does not connect to YouTube when the page first loads. If you choose “Play video on YouTube”, the player connects to YouTube (Google LLC), which may collect data about your visit and set its own cookies under Google's privacy policy.

4. Where data is processed

The site is hosted on Vercel and content is served from Sanity.io. These providers may process technical data on servers located outside your country, including in the United States, under their own data protection safeguards.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g., under the GDPR or KVKK), you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.

6. Contributors and interviewees

Stories, recordings, and testimonies published on Panavor are shared with the consent of the contributors or their families. If you appear in archive material and wish to have it corrected or removed, please contact us and we will act promptly.
